Treudelburg

Foto
Purpose This board holds up to five independant subsystems that are similar to the board for Erbert frames. It can be shortened to accommodate less than five displays. One subsystem has a ATmega8 controller and an HDSP-2112 8 character dot matrix display
Interface 5V LotusNet, common message format for train number displays
Status All boards are populated, software is nearly finished, first system test maybe Cloppenburg 2006.

Board for single HDSP-2112

Foto
Purpose This board holds one circuit similar to the five circuits of the board for Treudelburg. It was initially designed to be integrate into Erbert frames. But the likely use will be as EKA (Eingabekontrollanzeige) using four boards as user interface of the train number central computer to dail in numbers etc.
Interface 5V LotusNet, common message format for train number displays or yet to be defined message for one quarter of an EKA.
Status One board is populated and was used by Michael Weinert to develop the mechanical fitting as EKA. There is currenlty no further development on this approach.

7 segment display for Erbert frame

Foto
Purpose This display consists of two boards. One fits into an Erbert frame and holds six 7-segment-LED-displays. The second board accommodates a MAX7219 chip which can drive 8x8 multiplexed LEDs.
Interface 5V, synchronous serial interface, similar to SPI.
Status The first series is in use in Michelstadt. Software exists on the IO-Board
Info Pictures and design information on a dedicated page.

7 segment display from China

Foto
Purpose This display can be bougth from various Chinese resellers, for example AliExpress. It has 8 digits but with a mask you can reduce it to 6 used digits. It could fit in two Erbert frames, as shown with the paper mask. But it needs extra space beside for the electronic.
Size: 82,5 x 15,3 x 17,9mm
Interface 5V, synchronous serial interface, similar to SPI.
Status The digits are connected digi7-digi0. This is the other way around than the display above. For that some minor code changes have to be added in the existing software of the IO-Board

Prototype 7 segment display for SpDrS60

Foto
Purpose This display is part of ZNP800 systems delivered by Philips. It occupies one grid position in a Siemens SpDrS60 table.
Interface Prototype interface board will be discarded, instead an SPI interace is used. Will be connected to SpDrS60 interface board.
Status First series is in use in the table of Stefanswiesen:
