Design-Goals

The concept of elekdra meets the requirements for flexibility and universablity. It provides an universal proprietary interface to different user interfaces.

Flexible

The use of XML Files, which describes the topology of the station, provides a maximum of flexibility. If the conditions or the topology wihtin the control zone of elekdra changes, only these files have to be adapted. The possibility of selecting different XML-Filesets ensures, that one instance of elekdra can be used at different stations.

Scaleable

Because of the use of LotusNet, the scalability of elekdra is ensured. All the user has to do ist connect the new device and adapt the XML Files.

Restrictions

The only restriction known in the moment is, we will stick to LotusNet as the bus system.
